- started a Pinterest account and have loved pinning inspirational images
- went thrifting with Kris, Mr. B, Kathryn, and her friend, D. I found a few lovely things--more about this later!
- gave a very disappointed Mr. Reg a bath
- baked Sunday pretzels with Rebecca; we used Alton Brown's recipe which lead us to success for the most part, although next time we will make a few changes, including forming 10-12 thinner pretzels and boiling them for about 45 seconds in the baking soda bath in order to develop the chewiness a bit further
- was never long separated from the ol' ball-and-chain, of course
And here are some lovely posts from around the Web:
- BurdaStyle announced a couple of all-star sew-alongs
- Sarai geared up for next season's sewing by posting her Fall palette
- Colette Patterns' Fall line is available for pre-order!!
- Gertie's husband, Jeff, wrote a thoughtful guest-post in which he considered the ramifications of outsourcing necessities like food and clothing and how the the DIY movement offers a solution. I resonated with it.
- I always appreciate Jenna's musing, convicted, yet not didactic posts; this week two entries in particular captured my attention: "A Glorious Empire," and "The Open Road" (and this one, too!)
